Frederick Douglass Community Center
In the semester of Fall 2021, BGSUGD collaborated with the Frederick Douglass Community Center as a community engagement project. Mr. Reggie Williams is incredibly passionate about dedicating his life to bettering “The Doug.”
For this re-brand project, Mr. Williams desired a design that would appeal to the younger audience in Toledo and offer the community an abundance of resources that will leave the greatest impact possible.
I pulled my inspiration from familiarity. By using the outside wall of The Doug, I wanted the logo to evoke a sense of community, reflecting the rich stories and memories embedded in those walls that have been there for some time.
